Why have I chosen DAV and DAVA?
I am not a veteran, but because I know, as we all do, of the sacrifices members of the American Military make for us all. I have chosen the Disabled American Veterans (DAV) and Disabled American Veterans Auxiliary (DAVA) to be listed here.
And most importantly, because my father was a veteran, a Captain in the US Army, he became a member of DAV, and because of his membership, I was able to join the DAVA. I am a lifetime member.
Charitable giving is truly a blessing for those receiving and for those who give. When you and I help another person, a family, whether we know them personally or not we set off a chain reaction of goodness.
Bringing smiles, and comfort to another is a very, very great good deed.
